Who Are We

Groundwork was set up by experienced Civil Engineer, Peter Golder in 2008 to service the Land Development industry. This was after 25 years involved in various government and private consulting. This included construction management of major mine upgrades to city centre design and documentation to major urban, industrial and rural developments.

We currently undertake many infill land development projects that most consulting engineers find difficult, challenging or beyond the scope of a larger consulting firm. Projects we generally undertake have difficult constraints. these include drainage, ground conditions, boundary level constraints, service constraints, environmental or multiple specialist consultant requirements. We also undertake civil design for a variety of related mining accommodation villages.

Other services include peer reviews of hydrology and hydraulic designs, expert advice, specialist hydrology and hydraulic modelling and costings for land development projects.
We work with experienced civil design drafters with an interactive approach to the design. The finished detailed design minimises the construction costs and provides a product that reduces long term maintenance for the authorities taking over the works.

With knowledge of the skills brought to the project from experienced surveyors, planners, environmental scientists, real estate and marketing agents we understand the puzzle that needs to be assembled for a successful civil works project.
